Miss Nazanin Farhadi

Nazanin Farhadi is a PhD Student at the National Heart and Lung Institute.

Nazanin was originally educated at King’s College London, finished her BSc in Pharmacology and MSc in Drug Discovery Skills in 2007 during which she completed a placement within GlaxoSmithKline respiratory department. Subsequently, Nazanin went on to work for the drug company Pfizer as an in vivo scientist for two years within the respiratory discipline.

In 2009, she was awarded a 1+3 research studentship by the MRC and Asthma UK Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma, with which she undertook the MSc in Immunology at Imperial College London obtaining a pass with distinction. She also won the Richard Batchelor prize for her performance.

Following the completion of her masters, she started her PhD in 2010, under the supervision of Professor Peter Openshaw and Dr Fiona Culley, to study the role of NK cells in asthma.
