Dr Ferhana Y Ali
Ferhana Ali completed her PhD in 2004 under the supervision of Professors Jane Mitchell and Timothy Warner.
Dr Ali's research focuses on the sensing and signalling mechanisms of prostacyclin in vessels and platelets. Her work has led to the publication of novel data establishing a role for PPARbeta in prostacyclin function.
Dr Ali is currently engaged in postdoctoral training with Professors Mitchell and Warner and she has established and validated novel in vitro assays for the study of platelet responses in small volumes and with high throughput.
Dr Ali contributes to postgraduate student support within the group.
